After graduating from the Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA), Honey Khor has created a cannon of art works which speak directly to the viewer’s heart and soul.
Within her painterly uniqueness, fragrant symbols reach out to tell fascinating narratives concerning love, love’s commitment and a soul's journeying along a path towards mindfulness.
Her recent successes in Italy, Spain and China, a spell re-learning Ink and Brush painting under a Malaysian master, and learning Art Therapy from a prestigious German university, have re-energised Honey to continue to experiment more with form, space and colour.
2016 has been a particularly landmark year, with Honey having several joint exhibitions as well as two one woman shows abroad. In 2015 Honey exhibited her artworks in exhibitions in Malaysia, China, Spain and The Philippines. Her work continues to gain attention both in Malaysia and outside. This encourages her to travel more and to gain from those travels.
Honey has volunteered with Colors of Cambodia since 2008, not only teaching art to young Khmer children, but also helping to support over 150 Khmer children to return to school, through her fund raising enabling sponsorship (since 2013).
Honey is also an experienced educator, she is a art facilitator and founder of the Honey Child Development Centre and Ever Day Art Studio in Malaysia for two decades
